Before you start, be sure that you are informed on what the tire pressure should be set at. You can find all of this information in your car’s manual in the glove box. It is important to note that the recommended tire pressure could differ from rear tires to the front.

Buy an accurate tire gauge.

You can buy a tire gauge at any convenience store for a small price. Unscrew the cap on your tire and push the tire gauge onto the spout. This will give you a pressure reading on the gauge. Depending on what your tires should be set at, you may need to air up your tires and in some cases, let air out.

Visit an air pump!

An air pump can be found at most gas stations, tire shops and repair shops. You can either pay to have your tires aired up or use one at a gas station to air up your tires.
